Contact Talaria UK: Help Before and After You Buy

The quickest way to contact Talaria UK is the form on this page, and the quickest way to get a useful reply is to tell us the right things in the first message. This page explains how to contact Talaria UK before a purchase, what to include in a Talaria enquiry so we can answer it properly, what to send with a parts fitment question, and how trade, fleet and press enquiries are handled. There is no wrong question, but there is a faster one.

How to contact Talaria UK before you buy

Most people who contact Talaria UK before ordering are trying to settle one of three things: which model suits them, whether they can legally ride it where they intend to, and how the numbers work. We answer all three in plain language, and we will say when the answer is “not this bike” or “not yet”.

Which model

Contact Talaria UK with who the rider is and how the bike will be used, and we will narrow the range for you. A Sting R MX4 and a Komodo are both Talarias, but they are as different as a 125 and a 450, so the more you describe the rider the better the recommendation. Our about page includes the rider type table we work from.

Whether it is legal for you

If the bike will touch a public road at any point, you need a road legal L1e or L3e version, a licence appropriate to the class, registration and insurance. Off road versions are for private land with permission only. Contact Talaria UK and we will tell you which version you need and what the licence position is for your age, and the GOV.UK guide to riding a moped or motorcycle is the reference we point to.

How to pay

Card, bank transfer and finance subject to status. The Talaria finance page explains the application, and if you want to know whether a particular combination of bike and second battery can be financed together, contact Talaria UK before you start the checkout.

What to include in your enquiry

When you contact Talaria UK, an enquiry that includes the following can usually be answered in one reply rather than four. None of it is compulsory, but each item removes a question we would otherwise have to ask you.

  1. The model or models you are considering, or “not sure” with a description of what you want the bike to do.
  2. Intended use: commuting, trails, motocross track, farm or estate, green lanes, a mix.
  3. Road legal or off road, and if road legal, the rider’s age and licence held.
  4. Budget range, so that we recommend inside it rather than above it.
  5. Delivery postcode, so we can confirm the delivery method for your area at the same time.
  6. Rider height, weight and experience if you want a recommendation rather than a specification.

The table below sets out how to contact Talaria UK by enquiry type, including what to attach for the enquiries where a photograph or a document saves a day of back and forth.

Enquiry type Include in the message Attach if you can
Which bike to buy Rider age, height, weight, experience, intended use, road legal or off road, budget range, postcode Nothing needed

Contact form

Use the form below to contact Talaria UK about every kind of enquiry. It goes to the people who inspect, register and support the bikes, not to a call centre, and it keeps a copy of what you sent so nothing gets lost between messages.

If your message is about an existing order, put the order number in the subject line. If it is about a fault, attach the video after you have written the message rather than before, so the description is not lost if the upload fails.

Help after your purchase

When you contact Talaria UK after the bike has arrived, the frame number is the single most useful thing you can give us. It tells us the exact model, version and build, which means we can look at the pre delivery inspection record and the parts that were fitted rather than guessing from the model name.

Delivery day

Photograph the packaging before you sign for it, and photograph the bike as soon as it is unwrapped. If anything is damaged or missing, tell the driver and message us the same day with the pictures. Our delivery page describes what a pre delivery inspection covers and what you should check.

Faults and warranty

Contact Talaria UK describing what happens, when it happens and what the display shows. A ten second video of the fault is worth a page of description, particularly for cut outs, noises and display errors. Most electrical faults are traced to a connector and fixed with a part in the post. Full terms are on the warranty page, and the claim is handled by the same people who prepared your bike.

Servicing and setup

Gearbox oil intervals, brake bleeding, spoke tension after the first rides, suspension settings for your weight, winter battery storage: contact Talaria UK, and we will either walk you through it or tell you it needs a workshop. Our battery and charger guides on the blog cover the questions we get most.

Parts fitment questions

Talaria has changed connectors, controllers, displays, wheel sizes and battery voltages several times across the Sting MX3, Sting R MX4, MX5 Pro, X3, XXX, XXX Pro, Komodo and Dragon. A part that fits one will often not fit the next, and some upgrades need other parts to work at all. So when you contact Talaria UK about a part, send us the following and we will confirm fitment before you pay.

  • Model: for example Sting R MX4, not just “Sting”.
  • Year the bike was built or bought, because running changes happen within a model.
  • Battery voltage: 60V or 72V, and the capacity if you know it.
  • Controller fitted: standard, or an aftermarket unit such as an EBMX X9000, KO Moto Rush or Nucular.
  • Photos of the part in place on the bike, of the connector, and of any label or part number.
  • What you are trying to achieve, so we can suggest a better route if there is one.

The last point matters. Someone asking for a 72V battery usually wants more range or more power. More range at 60V needs only a bigger 60V pack. More power needs the controller, the charger and, on a road legal bike, the acceptance that it will no longer be road legal or covered for the parts under load. We would rather explain that up front. Browse the Talaria parts category to see what is stocked, and ask if the part you need is not listed.

Trade, fleet and press

Talaria trade enquiry

Hire operators, activity centres, estates, dealers in other territories and businesses buying more than a couple of bikes should contact Talaria UK with a trade enquiry giving the business name, the models and versions wanted, quantities and the timescale. Our Talaria wholesale listing shows the model and version combinations available in bulk, and mixed orders are fine. Tell us how the bikes will be used and we will suggest a parts and consumables package to go with them, because a fleet without spare pads, levers and a charger or two is a fleet that stops.

Fleet support

Fleet customers who contact Talaria UK can ask for pre delivery inspection on every unit, registration support for road legal models, staggered delivery and a single point of contact for warranty. If your riders are on the road, we will confirm the licence and insurance position for the class of bike so your paperwork is right from day one, with the GOV.UK vehicle insurance guidance as the reference.

Press and media

Journalists, reviewers and content producers are welcome to contact Talaria UK for comment, specifications, images or access to a bike for a feature. Tell us the publication or channel, the deadline and what you need. We are careful about accuracy on the legal side, and we will always check that a piece does not describe an off road model as something it is not.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best way to contact Talaria UK?

The Talaria UK contact form on this page. It reaches the people who prepare and support the bikes directly, keeps a record of the conversation and lets you attach photos and video. Put the order number or frame number in the subject line if you have one, and describe what you want in the first paragraph.

Can I ask which bike to buy without committing to anything?

Yes, and we would prefer you did. Contact Talaria UK with the rider’s age, height, weight, experience, intended use, whether the bike needs to be road legal and a budget range, and we will recommend one or two models and the correct version. There is no obligation and no sales follow up beyond answering the question.

What should I send with a warranty claim?

The frame number, model and year, approximate mileage, a description of the fault including when it occurs, and a short video if the fault can be shown. A photo of any error code on the display helps. If the bike arrived damaged, send photos of the packaging as well. Full terms are on the warranty page.

Do you answer Talaria trade enquiries from outside the UK?

We will always reply, but our supply and support are built around UK mainland customers with timescales confirmed at checkout. Businesses elsewhere should say where they are and what they need, and we will be straightforward about whether we can help or whether another route makes more sense.

I have a parts question about a Sur Ron. Can you help?

Only where it concerns the EBMX batteries we stock that fit the Light Bee, such as the 72V 42Ah pack. We do not sell Sur Ron bikes or parts beyond that, so for anything else a Sur Ron specialist is the better call. For anything Talaria, ask away.

Can I visit, collect or see a bike before buying?

Contact Talaria UK through the form and tell us the model you are interested in. We will confirm what is possible and when. Whether you collect or have the bike delivered, it goes through the same pre delivery inspection first.

Before you press send

Check that your message names the model, says whether the bike needs to be road legal, gives a budget range and includes your postcode. If it is about a bike you already own, add the frame number and a photo. Then contact Talaria UK by sending it. While you wait, the Talaria FAQ answers the questions we hear most, and the road legal Talaria collection is where most enquiries end up.
